Diagnose and monitor inflammatory bowel disease.
The BIOHIT Calprotectin ELISA is a quantitative sandwich ELISA method for the detection of calprotectin in stool samples. It can be used to help differentiate bowel symptoms and rule out intestinal inflammation as well as identify organic diseases of the small or large intestine. Faecal calprotectin, a neutrophil derived protein, is specific for intestinal inflammation and is therefore recommended for the diagnosis and monitoring of disease activity in patients with ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease. It can also be used to monitor treatment respons in inflammatory bowel disease.
